Surf & swimming
Year after year, Lacanau has established itself as the top surf spot in Gironde!
The seaside town hosts the renowned Lacanau Pro surf competition every year, confirming its status as a must-visit destination for surfers—from beginners chasing their first waves to seasoned riders looking for a challenge.
Just a 5-minute walk from Villa Cano Beach, Lion’s Beach takes its name from the nearby lifeguard post and the road that leads to it.
Tennis, padel & squash...
In Lacanau-Ocean, the Ardilouse Racquet Sports Complex offers a wide range of activities including padel, tennis, Basque pelota, squash, and many other fun variations in the “beach zone.”
Nearby, you’ll also find a rugby stadium and two renowned golf courses, open to players of all levels.

The Pétanque Océane club is located just a few steps from Villa Cano Beach.
Every Saturday evening in July and August, friendly “méli-mélo” tournaments are open to all, with local prizes to win, good vibes, and the charm of magical Lacanau summer nights.

In a stunning setting between ocean, lake, and forest, just 4 km from Villa Cano Beach, the Lacanau Casino is open every day of the year for festive and friendly moments with friends.
Opening hours:
Sunday to Thursday: 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
Fridays, Saturdays, and public holiday eves: 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.
In July and August, the casino is open daily from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.
